Set opacity of inserted image

Hi,
I'd like to use inserted image as a background of the page. How can I do it?
Image can be moved or resized but opacity is 100%.
I can insert text or symbol and there is opacity slider in properties but i can't do it with images.

Open image properties dialog - Right click on image, select "Properties...", go to "Common" tab. Uncheck "On Top of Pages" checkbox.
Image will be below text. However, here may be a problem if page already has background, even white one.

You can only specify opacity of image via alpha channel in png image. However, this may be not an easy task...
