I was told that this is in conflict with auto bookmarks

Did I miss something? What do you mean by auto bookmark? Where could I find this function?

This is an ability to generate bookmarks based on page content. For instance you can print Headings with special fonts:

Heading 1
Heading 2
Heading 3
blah blah blah
Heading 3
blah blah blah
Heading 3
blah blah blah

priPrinter will be able to detect this parts and create bookmarks.
Customization dialog can be launched by "Options" button is in the bottom of Bookmarks tab. Have to write short tutorial regarding this.

PS.
Bookmarks sorting is fixed and fix will be available soon.

OK, Issue is fixed (or it should be fixed).
I've checked your file many times, in different order. Looks like everything is fine. Fingers crossed.

Update is in our beta page.

It still doesn't work for me :/ Or it works but in different way that I would like it to work :) IMHO, the right bookmarks order should be B1, B2, B3, B4 (see the text layout) on every page. It is possible to determine the right position of bookmarks, even if the page is rotated, if the text layout is assumed as left-to-right and top-to-bottom. The algorithm will not work correctly in general, however.

But it seems to be a better (IMHO) way. Let the user to keep a right order of bookmarks. In such case the bookmark would be always added at the end. Of course, it is not the best way (what if user will want to add a bookmark between two existing ones?) but even then it is much more flexible that actual algorithm.

I looked at the heading. The tool generates bookmarks which are treated as any other. The auto generated bookmark may be renamed and even deleted. Beside a user is allowed to add new bookmarks. So I still don't understand what is the reason the bookmarks can not be manually reordered? :)

I see it on your movie but can't repeat. There is one place in code which is questionable, but I want to be sure that problem is in that place.
So after repeating, will be solved.

Reordering - yes, it should be possible - just not sure when it will be implemented.

Thank you!

Aron, can you write something about the algorithm you use to determine position of a bookmark?

Algorithm should find "up" and "down" bookmarks and insert new one in between. Or before first one, or after last one.
Concept is kind of simple, but code is about one page. Probably because of historical reasons.

Yes, but "up" and "down" depends on the page rotation. Sometime the "up" bookmark becomes "left", "down" or "right" :)

Yes, rotation is taken into account. Bookmark, which is above another one on the screen, should be first in the list.
That's why order of bookmarks for the first page is: b2,b4,b3,b1;

If so, the last beta works OK Posted Image
I have another question. I have a few scanned documents. In these docs I have some chapters and subchapters which I would like to convert to bookmarks. How could I prepare a tree like bookmarks structure?

Next beta is available in beta area.
- Now order should be correct, or at least it should be better.
- Bookmarks save/load is added.

Reordering will be later.

Thanks :) Now I can start to create TOC for the docs I mentioned last time :) I will reorder them when the reordering will be available. I hope in a few next days ;)

Sorry,

Just want to confirm.
Do you want to have drag & drop for bookmarks?

A.

I think a drag & drop functionality would be enough if there is a possibility to create a main nodes (i.e. chapters) and child nodes (subchapters). Is it (or will it be) possible?
